What this was

The team wanted inline detection of weld seam porosity to avoid pulling parts for x-ray. It stopped at four months because two of three machines could not deliver usable data and no one owned fixing that. The room exists so the next team does not repeat it.

Trigger
X-ray sampling was slow and caught defects late
Why it stopped
Machine connectivity, not model performance
Restart condition
Controls upgrade planned for 2027
Transferable
The kill-criteria lesson applies to every pilot
